Because Building Bridges CDC is a brand new program, we have limited resources to start our daily operations off with. Our program will pride itself on hiring well-educated and adequately compensating our staff to provide a nurturing and optimal level of care for your child, but we need further assistance in helping our program gain access to developmentally appropriate toys and child-sized furniture.

You can view our list below or click the following link to see what educational items and toys our program needs:

BOARD POSITIONS NOW OPEN!

Do you have a passion for helping communities in need? Seeking opportunities to be part of long-term solutions that call for providing high quality early care & educational services to our youngest members of society?

CONSIDER:

For every dollar invested in early care & education society gets threefold back on their return. When communities invest in these programs they end up producing a workforce that earns higher wages and have less participants involved n the criminal justice and special education system (CORNELL UNIVERSITY, JOURNAL OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY, 2006).

Early childhood provides windows of opportunity that dramatically shape a young child's brain (Preschool CA, 2009). Where throughout our nation states are in dire need of quality infant-toddler child care services and where Oakland will only be meeting half of this demand by the coming year (Alameda County Early Care & Education Needs Assessment, 2006).

High-quality early care & educational programs for infants & toddlers benefit them as children and our society, in ways that "far exceed program costs" (ZERO TO THREE INSTITUTE, 2009).
